PATSY CLINE：
One of the greatest singers in the history of country music, Patsy Cline also helped blaze a trail for female singers to assert themselves as an integral part of the Nashville-dominated country music industry. She was not alone in this regard; Kitty Wells had become a star several years before Cline's big hits in the early '60s. Brenda Lee, who shared Cline's producer, did just as much to create a country-pop crossover during the same era; Skeeter Davis briefly enjoyed similar success. Cline has the most legendary aura of any female country singer, however, perhaps due to an early death that cut her off just after she had entered her prime.

Georgia Gibbs原名Fredda Gibbons，1920年8月17日出生于麻省的Worcester。从15岁开始就在广播电台的Hit Parade和Camel Caravan节目中表演。1938年和Hudson-Delange乐队一起表演时的名曲有《If We Never Meet Again》，1940年和Frankie Trumbauer合作时的名曲有《Laziest Girl In Town》，1942年和Artie Shaw乐队合作时的名曲有《Not Mine》，《Absent Minded Moon》。也就是在这段期间，她改名为Georgia Gibbs。随后，在Jimmy Durant/Garry Moore主持的广播节目时，Moore给她起了个‘Her Nibs’的外号。她坚定而准确的嗓音以及良好的艺人风范令她在1950到1959间获得15支排行榜前40位的歌曲。最开始的两支是Coral唱片公司发行的《If I Knew You Were Comin’》及《I’d’ve Baked A Cake》。
1951年，她和Mercury唱片公司签了约。她52年演唱的《Kiss Of Fire－火之吻》是由一支阿根廷探弋《El Choclo》改编的。53年演唱的《Seven Lonely Days－七个寂寞的日子》则是原来Bonnie Lou唱到乡村排行榜前10位的一支歌曲。她唱的热门曲多是翻唱的R&B歌曲。如：55年原来LaVerne Baker唱的《Tweedle Dee》，《Dance With Me Henry》是改动了歌词的原Hank Ballard的歌曲《Work With Me Annie》，以及Ballard，Johnny Otis，Etta James的性感歌曲《Roll With Me Henry》等。
后来，她不断的改变合作的唱片公司，先是跳到RCA公司。然后58年到Rou8lette公司，出了她最后一支进入排行榜前40位的《The Hula-Hoop Song》。后又在Mercury公司录了含有《Swinin’ With Her Nibs》一曲的专辑。63年在Epic公司录了《Georgia Gibbs》，64年在Imperial公司录了《Something’s Gotta Give》。64年以后，她在意大利过着半隐居的生活。
