刀锋战士自小就被专门打造新式武器的吸血鬼猎人收养，专门出入有吸血鬼出没的场所，拯救即将被消灭吞噬的人类，凭着他驾骑着银翼机车，手持无敌火力的巨型火焰枪，以及无敌旋风刀和身后背负着的那把长剑，不死的无敌战神刀锋战士所向披靡，只要他一出现，躲藏在人群当中的吸血鬼将无所遁形。于是，在这个未来的世界中，刀锋战士成了人类和吸血鬼双方争夺生存空间下最勇猛的正义战士.
在这个纷扰复杂的世界上，灾难总是从最隐蔽的角落里出现，正义与邪恶的战争也永远会在不知名的地方继续着。
电视剧版的故事紧接《刀锋战士》系列电影三部曲 继续讲述着Blade消灭吸血鬼的故事。
剧中的女主角Krista Starr从伊拉克回到家中。
之后得知他的双胞胎兄弟Zack被杀。
于是她开始到处寻找着杀死她哥哥/弟弟的凶手。
然而Krista Starr想要寻找的人也同样是Blade想要寻找的人，因此Krista跟Blade一起展开了合作并希望能够报仇雪恨。但事情对于Krista来说并没有那么顺利……
Spike TV的《Blade》6月28日星期三晚首播，充满了动作大片元素的这部新剧一下子就成为Spike TV有史以来收视率最高的原创剧集，根据最新收视报告，两个小时的第一集收视率达到了250万，为Spike TV历史新高。
